Things You Shouldn’t Do While a Renting a Car in Bangalore

Hundreds and thousands of people rent a car every day in Bangalore. Considering such high numbers, most people erroneously believe that car rentals in Bangalore are transparent and straightforward. But sadly, this is just a myth. In fact, more and more people end up paying more for their car rentals just because they aren’t clear about the process. Here is a list of things you should absolutely avoid while renting a car.

Firstly, never opt for companies that charge you extra for petrol, gas or diesel. A lot of companies quote lucrative self-drive car rental rates in Bangalore, but you end up paying a hefty amount because these bills are exclusive of fuel charges. So, make sure that you never opt for a company whose rates don’t include fuel charges.

This brings us to the second point- Don’t rent from car companies that don’t offer unlimited kilometers for daily self-drive rentals. Choosing a company that has restricted the range of kilometers for self-drive can end up burning a hole in your pocket. So, always enquire if the company will provide you unlimited kilometers for daily rental. Similarly, prefer a company that provides fuel for at least 25 kilometer/hour for hourly car rentals in Bangalore.

A cursory look at the rental car wouldn’t be a big no-no! Most people don’t check the car carefully and end up being charged for scratches, loose parts, broken mirrors or scuffs. So, make sure that you check the car carefully. In case you find any discrepancies or repairable damages, inform the company beforehand. This will ensure that you aren’t charged for any prior damages.

Never pay security deposits via cash. While it may seem convenient to provide cash just before you rent a car, it is recommended that you always provide security deposits through MasterCard or Visa Credit/Debit Card. This ensures that you have a proper record of the deposit, which can be easily refunded once you return the car. That being said, make sure that the car is never returned without an inspection. Ask a representative to check the car after rental to ensure that there aren’t any damages that can be claimed later. In case a representative isn’t available, take photos of the car or a video to ensure that no one charges you with false claims.

Lastly, never cross state borders without asking the rental company about it. Although most of the companies offering car rentals in Bangalore allow clients to cross state borders, it is recommended that you confirm the same, so that you aren’t levied any extra charges later.

Ensure that you don’t do these things while renting a car and choose your services carefully to avoid paying exorbitant amounts later.

How To Hire A Luxurious Car In Your Budget

Thinking of booking a cab with a random vendor who is a lot cheaper than the other car rental brands available? Well, you should think again! Booking a cab or renting a vehicle may seem like a convenient deal with a company that is not established or too well known since it seems to go in sync with what your pocket allows, but the truth is that the companies which are unauthorized are not always a safe option. Some of the major reasons that you should opt for an authorized service provider are:

-         It is a safer option: With the way the world is changing and with crimes exceeding the sky limit, one has to always be certain of their safety and whereabouts. An authorized service provider is always a good option since the last thing you need to worry about is your money, luggage and most importantly, your life.

-          You can always bank upon an authorized car rental: Authorized car rentals are the kind one can depend on. Whether it is paperwork, insurance, or just the sure shot way of knowing that you are in safe hands, authorized car rentals are a more reliable source in terms of your money, investment and time.

-          You get better deals: One of the biggest advantages of going in for an authorized car rental is that they offer better deals and at better prices. Special discounts, festive deals and weekend getaway offers are more easily available with an authorized and a recognized car rental.

-          Authorized car rentals always offer additional amenities: Whether it is a child’s seat in the back or whether it is a wheel chair provision for elderly people traveling, one can be assured that they would get these features and special deals with an authorized car rental.

-          More variety for reasonable costs: Lastly, an unauthorized car rental can strip you off your money if you choose a luxury vehicle, whereas with an authorized brand you can pick any car of your choice for a reasonable cost. There is more variety in terms of cars and a greater scope of additional offers that one can avail of.

What Can You Expect Out Of A Car Hire Experience?

Car Hire Services

When it comes to business, everything today boils down to customer experience. Maslow’s need hierarchy would describe the experience as a clear classification of needs. Where on the pyramid does your business stand? Are you focusing on fulfilling just the needs and wants of the service user, or are struggling to delight him? Let’s face it; there are innumerable players in the market. Not all are focused on leading. Some are still in the nascent stages of their business, and therefore, operate under constraints.

Cost might be one factor that limits them from putting up hefty discounts on their packages. That said, the car hire industry is getting pretty competitive. It shouldn’t surprise you if you come across an ad campaign on Facebook, by a car hire service provider, that reads like a happy hour offer. While we are talking things that need to be kept poles apart from each other (don’t mix booze with driving); however, that don’t ban service providers from taking a cue and serving as a hot one on one car hire trip.

If this is your first stint with a car hire provider, be double sure that you are making the right choice. Sure that there are innumerable operators in the market, so you can make a switch. But, if your very first experience leaves you with sour memories, you will definitely feel disheartened to try it out the next time. Going by the brand promise is a wise decision in case you are thinking about hiring a car.

Now that you have shortlisted a few names, how about asking some people about their real life experiences with the car hire? You can do this either by looking at the customer testimonials, which get you only 50 percent of the truth, or can think about asking frequent travelers who believe in car hire as a travelling option.

Although you might perceive it as an outdated technique of marketing, word of mouth is one of the most effective ways of culling out information. And, most of the times the information is accurate. Say for example, a friend tells you about his exceptional experience on a trip by road to Lonavala, take his word. He would have really praised the car hire service provider for making his trip a great one.

Done with the shortlisting stage? Now adopt the rejection method to come one with the one final service provider that you will be contacting for your trip. The following steps explain how to do this:

• Decide your budget, needs and requirements from the hirer
• List the rent and the services of the car hire service provider
• Do this for all shortlisted names
• Now match the needs with the actual services being provided
• Rate on the basis of service efficiency and cost-savings

In this manner you will be able to find yourself a car hire service provider who will service your needs well.
